Decoilers /  Coil Holders

Atkin Automation manufactures a wide range of coil holders with capacities ranging from 500kg to 25,000kg, capable of handling strip widths from 50mm up to 2,000mm. 

They are available in motorised and non-motorised versions, and in single and double-sided formats. 

A full range of complementary equipment is also available, including coil cars, pre-bend and thread-up units, snubbers, and loop controls.

Levellers / Straighteners

Atkin Automation provides a range of light, medium, and heavy-duty straighteners to remove the ‘set’ in uncoiled steel strip between 0.5mm and 8mm in thickness and up to 2,000mm in width. 

Levellers / Straighteners are available in a standard range and can be adapted into precision/special machines designed to meet specialised applications.

Electronic Servo Roll Feed

Atkin Automation servo-powered roll feed are world-renowned for their performance, both in speed and accuracy. A wide range of these sophisticated units is available to suit every application.

Atkin Automation electronic servo roll feed are available in Light-Duty (RF70), Medium-Duty (RF100), and Heavy-Duty (RF127) ranges. The RF70 range provides a width capacity of 50-600mm for material up to 3mm thick, while the RF100 range offers increased capacity up to 1,000mm wide, and the RF127 range caters to widths up to 1,500mm.

All roll feeds have case-hardened steel rolls and gears, a precision 'zero' backlash gearbox, and a high-quality servo motor and drive. 

For high-speed applications, the company offers the HSRF range of electronic servo roll feed, which will provide feeds in excess of 200spm. 

The catalogue of servo feeders means that Atkins can draw upon years of experience to tailor the feeder to suit the customer's application.

Feeder / Straighteners (3-in-1 Units)

Where floor space is at a premium, the straightener and the roll feed can be incorporated into combined feeder straighteners, when combined with an unpowered coiler can offer the ideal solution to many production requirements. 

Feeder-Levellers typically work at a slower speed than a conventional press feed line using separate units. 

Despite many benefits, feeder-leveller Press Feed Lines are not suited to delicate strips.

Spacesavers / Cradles

Where floor space is limited, Atkin Automation can supply a combined coil holder with an integral straightener. The Spacesaver features the straightener mounted above the coil holder, significantly reducing the required floor area. Due to the strip threading arrangement, material thickness is generally limited to around 2mm.
