The Process
The process involves injecting resins using multiple injector heads into a closed mould containing pre-positioned carbon fibre mats at high pressure and at relatively fast injection rates. It is a highly repeatable process, due to its robust nature.
This process is popular in automotive manufacturing for producing carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) component parts such as body panels, chassis components and structural parts.
Pressure Regulation
During this process, it is very important that operators regulate the pressure, flow and temperature of the resin. The rate and control of these three parameters can be fully automated if required.
