Designed to address the combined challenges of limited factory floor space and handling awkward, thick-gauge material, the Atkin range of heavy-duty combined coil cradle and straightener units provides a unique and effective solution.
The fabricated frame houses driven support rollers for coil handling, adjustable coil retaining plates with self-centring screws, a heavy-duty straightening head, a variable speed drive, and loop control. The drive system is split within the frame, powering both the straightening head and the support rolls.
Coil cradles typically operate at slower speeds, generally 15m/min or less, due to the nature of the materials being processed.
