The MS57, MS58, and the MS59 code straighteners have manually adjusted pinch and levelling rolls. The rolls are actuated by bridge piece and chock adjustment.
Drive is by an AC gearmotor and chain transmission. Control can either be fixed speed or variable speed with an inverter. Loop control can vary from simple twin probe or more complex with laser control.
The MS52, MS53, and the MS54 code straighteners have pneumatically loaded pinch rolls and manual cross shaft and bevel gear adjusted levelling rolls.
