The DS1 and DS2 models manufactured by Rhodes Interform cover a range of single point and two point, double sided mechanical presses.
DS1 Double Sided Press Range - Single point double sided presses available in nine models from 40 - 400 tonnes. The steel frame is designed to maintain accurate tool alignment under maximum load and provides great strength, rigidity, and maximum accessibility to the die space.
DS2 Double Sided Press Range - Designed specifically with two point suspension to provide a larger working bed area suitable for either wide single tools or a gang of smaller tools. The two point suspension ensures even distribution of the nominal tonnage and helps to accommodate any offset loading on large progression tools. The seven models in this range vary from 80-400 tonnes.
Benefits
- All mechanical presses can be fitted with a hydraulic overload device located under the slide adjusting screw seating in order to protect against a major overload
- The electric load monitoring system measures the actual working tonnage

An intensive range of turnkey manufacturing cells can be supplied to exacting specifications. All ancillary machinery, including mechanical handling and auto-feeding equipment can be fully integrated with Rhodes Interform CNC presses.
Design Features
- The stroke can be either fixed or variable
- The motorised slide adjustment ensures fast and accurate re-positioning when changing tool height (This is a standard feature on all models above 80 Tons).
Client Project
Rhodes Interform was recently awarded a £1.15 million contract to design, build, manufacture, and install a new DS2-400 mechanical press to replace an existing 30-year-old DS2-200 punch press on the same footprint at a client’s plant in the Northeast of England.
